The Veterans Resources Webinar Series is a one-hour session designed to help veteran-owned Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and small businesses better understand the resources, programs, and contracting opportunities available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

During this session, John Fedkenheur, Deputy Director, Acquisition Support at the VA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) will provide an overview of the Veterans First Contracting Program, including recent changes and key information businesses need to know when pursuing opportunities with the VA. Participants will also learn about the Vets First Verification Program and Vets Voice initiatives, current and emerging VA procurement priorities, and other developments that may impact veteran-owned businesses, MBEs, and small businesses seeking to compete for VA contracts.

Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how to navigate VA small business resources, identify potential procurement opportunities, strengthen their readiness to compete, and position their companies for long-term growth in the federal marketplace.

Topics will include:

  • The Veterans First Contracting Program and practical guidance on contracting readiness

  • VA programs and resources supporting veteran-owned businesses

  • Overview of VA’s procurement opportunities and other special areas of focus, (i.e. manufacturing and other agency priorities)
